Diamond Baileyā€¦. My Rottie

Bailey is the newest part of the family. She is now 10 weeks old. She is so lovable and cute, crazy, clumsy!! šŸ™‚

Many people come up to her and say oh how cute and pet her, then they ask what kind of dog she is, when I say a rottweiler, most of the people take a step back and have a strange look like sheā€™s a killer. I think the breed is really misunderstood and I also think the owners have a lot to do with their actions.

Iā€™ve had her for 3 weeks now and my neighbors are angry because of the breed she is. I have a big fenced in yard and of course she is in the house too. I donā€™t understand some people. Butā€¦ the more people I meet the more I love my rottie!!!!! šŸ™‚

She is CKC registered, going great with the potty training, sits, stays. Sheā€™s a major ankle biter and she chases you to get at your feet but heyā€¦ sheā€™s a puppy! I love all dogs but rotties have always been my fav. breed. She is my first full blooded rott and I wouldnā€™t mind having another!

Thanksā€¦.

Thank you so much. I read your email. Made me cry when I went back and saw these pics of her.
She is missed a lot. She helped me with the passing of my 10 year old collie/chow mix. Jade is doing the same for Bailey but its been hard.

I love the name sapphire!! I may have to use that if I ever get another rottie! šŸ™‚
Bailey is small for her age. She will be 3 months tomorrow and only weighs 15 pounds. She was the runt out of a liter of 3. The mother is 7 years old and only 60 pounds. I never heard of one being so small but of course she looks big and healthy. Her father is 3 and heā€™s at 80 pounds right now but they say he is still growing a lot. I want bailey to be at least 80 pounds. I hope she starts growing! Not that I would love her any lessā€¦.
Not sure how tall she is but she does have some long legs.

How do I find that new site by Sue you were talking about?

Love the name we were actually going to call Angel,Sapphire..Then I thought Diamond would be nice as she loved biting at them.We went with Angel because sheā€™s a christmas time baby..12/31/2010..and our little angel..She was 12.5lbs at 8 weeks and doubled exactly at 12 weeks(25lbs).Today at 14.5 weeks she weighs 30lbs.She also has round worm right now which effects her weight gain.(see blog w/photo)..All is good and normal to have worms from mom.Dad was 130lbs and mom was 90 lbs.My 1st girl was 85lbs and 2nd was 160 lbs so it just goes to show size varies..Were hoping on 100lbs for Angel.I have registered her for the new site being set up by Sue for size charting and hope you also add Diamond Bailey..Would love to watch her grow..ps..sheā€™s 18 inches tall..long legs at this point..How much does Diamond weigh in at??

@ Judyā€¦ thank you for your comment.
Bailey will be 12 weeks tomorrow. Hard to believe sheā€™s already 3 months. Can I ask how much your rottie weighs now? and how much she weighed at 3 months? I was just curious of other female rotts because of this size chat I saw onlineā€¦. that Bailey isnā€™t really close to. šŸ™‚
Both her parents where big, well, her dad was huge but males usually are.
I would love to have another.

so vicious looking..

WELCOME to the rotti world..Iā€™m on my third rotti and wouldnā€™t want any other breed. Our new one, Angel is 14 weeks and full of energy also.Forgot what a puppy was all about. It still never ceases to amaze me on the reaction I get from owning this breed. They say sheā€™s so cute and then seem surprised that they said that about a rotti.Totally misunderstood breed thatā€™s for sure..Itā€™s all in the owner. As for your neighbours theyā€™ll get over it when they realise what a great guard dog they have thanks to you..How can people not love a face like that???
