Beren has been with us for over 15 years and is 16 today.
I’ve just brought him in from his daily walk and after taking his painkillers for arthritis, he is jumping around like he’s 12 again (lol).
Anyone have any similar stories?
He’s docile, loving big dog that doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all.
WOW! Happy Birthday Beren 🙂 You know, this might be a record! I had a female Rottie who lived to be almost 15, she also acted like a puppy right up until the end, although I knew better I thought perhaps she could live forever <3
I THINK the oldest Rottweiler on record reached the grand old age of 15 1/2 but some research might be in order here.
Congratulations on keeping Beren happy and healthy for so many years. With the average lifespan of a Rottweiler being around 9 years, this is an incredible achievement and a testament to all the love and care you have lavished on him.
Congrats again, and happy happy birthday to your precious boy!
