love my bruv

Here are some new photos of my two little buddies, Harvey and “biggie the staff”.

I have wrote in before so thought it was time to update with some new pics. Harvey is NOW 16 Weeks old and getting bigger and bigger by the day it seems, we are his second home after his ex owner only wanting him for 5 days, after stating that he didn’t get on with their other dog?

He gets on great with biggie and although we have been having a few unwanted “growling issues” due to being ill treated in his first home, children had shaved his whiskers off and our vet reckons he had been kicked as he was very fearful and sore when we got him.

We are slowly making progress in teaching him & showing him that not all people are to be fearful of. He brings so much happiness to the whole family and we are looking forward to having many years of pleasure with them both.

Training is going well and harvey is responding well to his new home.

Hope you like our pics of him and biggie, enjoy

good job! NEW
by: Cheryl

glad to hear harvey is improving its probably seems like a long road but well worth the trip!!! my new rottie is doing great but when i first got him he didn’t seem like he would come around us much and if i tried to lay next to him he would move but i kept following him around anyway and now he follows me everywhere he even wakes my husband up everyday at 5:30 am so he can get in bed with me at first we thought he wanted to go out,but heck no!he wants his time with mom,he now is my service dog and just passed his canine good citizen, and just passed his eval for the therapy dog program and will work with hospice patients and i can’t be more proud of this wonderful dog and this amazing breed

rocky beginnings happy endings NEW
by: Cheryl

how sad for this poor pup so early in life but how lucky to now have such a loving family to bond with, it will probably take some time to trust but it will come in time, i had gotten my first rottie which i didn’t want after hearing so many horror stories about the breed honestly i was afraid, but i took him he was 10 months old his name was Bear aka “Mr. Attitude” even then but he had already been through 5 families that didn’t want him,he hated men, growl, attacked our other dog to which he drew blood, pretty much hated everything.i went and got every book on behavior and spent a great deal of one on one time with him,he eventually became more tolerant especially when our other dog passed and we got him a puppy,so i believe with the help of biggie he will overcome his horrible beginning, bear was with me for 11 1/2 yrs till i lost him to cancer oct 2011,but i rescued another rottie and if i can ever figure out how to upload pics to the right size i would love to post him, best wishes for you all

Thank you for your kind words, Glad you like our family ,we are hoping that we can over come the damage that has already been to harvey, we are taking each day slowly and with biggies help hopefully we can show him that we are not gonna hurt him. We have taken him to a dog behaviourist as we want to stop the growling and fear as quick as possiable whilst hes still young.
